Sister projects

VALPOP is closely collaborating with its sister project NET-ROL, funded under the same topic. The aim is to identify the synergies (e.g. methods, data collection, geographical scope, common challenges) and share knowledge that can benefit both projects and the overall impact.

The NET-ROL project, “Networks and the Rule of Law: Uncovering Socio-Economic Outcomes”, is developing a conceptual, theoretical framework on how networks influence the rule of law in law-making, executive decision-making, and the judiciary. The project examines how these networks can weaken the rule of law and what the socio-economic consequences are in terms of growth, equality and trust.
